A to Z 2016: C is for Coastal Climate

We have been spoiled our first three days on the coast.  The sun was out and the temperature hovered in the mid-sixties.  We performed our host duties in a leisurely manner, stopping to visit with guests and enjoying the sunny spring weather.  This afternoon all that changed when the weather pattern returned to normal and it started to rain.  It's still a beautiful place; we still have lots of campers, but they're not sitting around the campfires.  Firewood sales fell to zero as campers huddle in their tents and trailers to keep dry.  We are cozy in our aluminum shell.  As I write I can hear the pinging of raindrops on the roof and I am grateful to be warm and dry.  I hope the rain clears by Tuesday for our days off.  I have no desire to go kayaking in the rain!

  1. Uh, oh. Camping in the rain in a tent? I've never been camping, but I think I would prefer the aluminum shell. :)

  2. Hey #1 Nana. I'm stopping by from the A to Z galaxy. Just feels like I'm orbiting around this blogging universe a lot since this challenge started. Love 'the pinging of raindrops on the roof' image. Mind you, I currently live in the dry Arabian Gulf region, so I can romanticize the rain. Hope you get a dry Tuesday.

  3. It is better to hear the rain from inside a trailer than a tent.

  4. I love rain drops on metal roofs and metal campers.

  7. Although the roof on our RV isn't metal, I still love hearing the sound of rain hitting it. Just as long as we don't leak anyway...
