The billboard above reads “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb.” It is located in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood, about a half a mile from a Planned Parenthood clinic. The billboard was erected by Life Always, a group opposed to abortions.
"They're attacking women for choosing abortion while simultaneously destroying family planning," a spokeswoman Mary Alice Carr of NARAL Pro-Choice America is quoted by CNN before the billboard was taken down. "Their hypocrisy is as large and as obnoxious as this billboard."

To all pro-lifers: The statistics are in and they clearly state that an once of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
The following information clearly supports my article. By preventing unwanted pregnancies (through contraception), you can significantly reduce abortions. And this is what we all want, right?

By providing millions of young and low-income women access to voluntary contraceptive services, the national family planning program prevents 1.94 million unintended pregnancies, including almost 400,000 teen pregnancies, each year. These pregnancies would result in 860,000 unintended births, 810,000 abortions and 270,000 miscarriages, according to a new Guttmacher Institute report.
Absent publicly funded family planning services, the U.S. abortion rate would be nearly two-thirds higher than it currently is, and nearly twice as high among poor women.

[The Guttmacher Report] specifically concluded that making contraception available to low income women reduces the number of abortions by nearly 40%. When birth control isn't available unintended pregnancy increases by 2 million and the number of abortions spikes by more than 800,000 each year. Researchers noted that providing contraception saves taxpayers 4 times as much as not providing it.

Many ordinary self-described "pro-life" Americans were confused by news of the seemingly incomprehensible, yet universally-held, position of groups that have, for decades, promoted themselves as opponents of abortion.
This kind of stuff has been circling around on FB and blogs a lot in the past few weeks. I have friends on both sides of the issue. I also have my own opinions on what I personally feel is right, just, fair, etc. BUT (and yes I shout it for a reason) I have decided to stay way out of these conversations simply because my opinion is mine, theirs, well, theirs. Neither of us are ever going to change each other's minds no matter how much we bang our heads on tables. This is just one of those issues that causes such a great divide that debate can never seem to bring any type of common ground. Maybe its cowardly of me not to reveal which side I stand on, outright in a public forum. Maybe its my laziness for not wanting to engage in a battle amongst the pro'ers on either side (life/choice I mean) but next to religion nothing quite stirs up anger like the topic of abortion and I guess I just don't have the energy for it.

Depends on the situation. I would not recommend that some one just fool around and get rid of a life. In case of rape or incest though what is gal supposed to do.?
