If it wasn't for the Blog Anniversary counter over on the right, I probably wouldn't have realized that it was time to celebrate another blog anniversary. Two years ago I made the commitment to myself to blog for at least three months...and here it is two years later and I'm still at it. Thank you to all of you who have stuck with me. Becoming a member of the blogging community has been a great experience. Although we have never met, I feel like I have friends all over the globe. You have all taught me so much, and I am proud to be a member of the blogging community.
So, now that I've done this for two years, I guess I'll keep at it...
What's in store for the third year of Benchmark 60?
It's probably time to do some remodeling and upgrade my tired decor. I also want to try and publish on a regular schedule. Even though I know how to use that automatic publishing feature, I don't often use it. I'm making a commitment to myself to publish at least once a week. (Yeah, I know that's a kind of wishy-washy goal, but I'm retired and don't have to meet state benchmarks!) Stay tuned for the changes.
There's one last change. I recently was offered an opportunity to host a give away on my blog. (Wow! Someone offered me free stuff just for blogging!) I thought that it would be fun to celebrate the start of my third year with my first contest. So in the next week or so I'll be posting about how you can win a copy of My Memories Suite, digital scrapbook software that lets you easily create digital scrapbooks, photobooks, cards and calendars.
I'm looking forward to new adventures in 2012 and I'm so glad that you're along for the ride! Happy New Year!
Happy anniversary! And well done for keeping it going - I look forward to continued reading.
ReplyDeleteOh, and happy new year too!
Congratulations Nana for completing 2 years of blogging. Keep it up! I think I've done about 5 years now, on and off. I agree, there are a lot of nice people who blog, and it's fun - Dave
ReplyDeleteWell done! I enjoy your blog and look forward to more in 2012.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazes me is how fast the time flies. I've been at it for more than two years, too, and I actually find my desire to write and post things has improved during that time. And you're right: the community was a bonus I never ever expected! It's wonderful, and you're part of my life now. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a retired teacher, and I also enjoy not having to deal with those state benchmarks! Congratulations on your blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I'm glad you're blogging and I'm glad you're part of my world. Keep it up. I love reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary dear blogging friend. You are the first reader who really discovered me and my blog. I was amazed that you read my blog. I'm still amazed. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. You are always one who brings a smile to my face or a good ole belly laugh. Keep on keeping on...
Happy Anniversary! I wonder if I have one of those reminders on my blog?? I've never noticed!
ReplyDeleteWhen I started blogging (about a year and a half ago) I was very sporadic. I wasn't really into it much, and just had two readers, my friend Deb and my daughter, Jessica.
Then, we I was recovering from knee surgery and so miserable being stuck at home, Deb introduced me and my whole world changed overnight!
Now, I love everything about blogging, and I get kind of irritated when my family (or work, life in general) interrupts my time! It has been such a joy to read your blog, and so many others, and especially to read comments! Who knew it would be so much fun??
I love reading your blog and love forward to many years ahead.
Happy New Year!!
I'll be stopping by to see what you're up to.
