Last year I went to a poetry reading (by Adrian Mitchell), and when it came to my turn for his book to be signed, I mentioned I also had a golden retriever (the toady, that I am). "Oh?" says he, "What's he called?" My mind went complerely BLANK. I couldn't even remember my own freaking dog's name.. arghhhhhhhh!!! Luckily, hubby stepped in and answered for me.
